Void work by detail level

Hi all, I'm in need to set a void in such a way it'll work (I mean cut a wall portion) only at a certain level of detail. In other words I'd like it'll cut a wall just if the detail level would be high. Is it possible?

I'm thinking no, because cut geometry is cut geometry, no matter what detail level you're working at.

If it's for a plan view you could nest a detail. That you can deal with level of detail.
