Does any one know how to copy room tags to different lvls?

I have a composite plan that has same unit plans(unit A through E) repeated throughout the floor.(hundreds of them) I created a tag for each one of those by using "room" command. Since I have a lot of units on level one, I don't want to type every single room tags on second floor, third floor...etc.

I know room tag is associated with room command. So, I clicked on every single units on entire floor so that it can have room tags. Now I want to copy tags on ea floor but it wouldn't let me isolate tags.

what would be the best way to do this?

Here is the easiest way. Fill out the first floor with your rooms and tags labeled as 101, 102, or however. Then select one room and tag (both elements) and copy to clipboard, then go to edit - paste aligned - select views by name and select all the rest of your floor. You will have one tag on each floor now. Now go to each floor and name that one tag 201, 301, 401, etc. Then go back to your first floor and select all the rest of your rooms and tags except the one you copied and copy to clipboard, paste aligned - select views by name, pick all the rest of your floors. It will renumber all your room tags on each floor for you (202, 203, 302, 303, etc.)

I didn't know it would renumber the tags after the first copy/paste, would've saved me tons of time a week ago! Thanks jspartz!

I tried this several times, but couldn't get the tags to "auto-number". What did I miss?

Did you copy one tag up first and renumber it before copying the rest of them?

Copied the room and the tag for "101" to other levels. Renumbered tags for levels above 1.
Copied the remaining tags and rooms from level 1 to above. No renumber. What gives?

You do have a floor separating the levels right? Otherwise it will not work.
