Existing Phase Fill Detail

I have a sectional detail & want to show the existing materials as grey but with the actual materials hatched. With phasing all I get is a grey outline. Any ideas??

Can't be done currently. The closest you could get would be to use the override material, and give it a custom hatch that matched the make up of your wall, but I don't think it would be easy to get to work.

Yes you can - you just need the right phase filter. See the attached example....

One thing though is that I would like each material to read - brick, concrete, CMU, etc..

Make a phase fileter for the view where New and Existing are set <By Category>. Set the view to a fine level of detail and apply the phase filter.
