View Full Version : 3D Solid's Silhouette disappears on moving

3d Solids dont' seem to keep a silhouette representation of their initial position when
being moved or copied! So there 's no way to copy a box right beside where it lies using ex endpoints cause, after picking base point, the solids moves with the cursor and leaves nothing behind.(So you better know the distance) This is serious! And it isn't related to
"dragmode". Perhaps another tricky system variable? Or a visual styles trick?

I 'll appreciate any help.

Hi

Is your Graphics Card ( and Driver for that Card ) supported by Autodesk...

Graphics Hardware List (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/hc?siteID=123112&id=6711853&linkID=2475161)

Could some of the new 3D features have been turned off, thus causing your current issue / problem ?

Have a good one, Mike

Hi,
I appreciate your help and followed your suggestion replacing the file version of AdskHwCertificationDatabase.xml I found in the drv folder with it's update from Autodesk's site.
But this didn't resolve the issue.
For the record, the version 1.1.1.1 I had for the database was actually replaced by 1.1.1.4.
but in the "View Log" at 3d config command I still get this listing:
Name : ASUS Extreme AX700 Pro
Manufacturer : ASUS
Chip set : Extreme AX700 Pro
Memory : 256.0 MB
Driver : 6.14.0010.6476

Your machine contains a 3D Device that is not certified.

Thank you.

From my above post...

Could some of the new 3D features have been turned off, thus causing your current issue / problem ?Therefore it is *possible* that certain 3D features have been turned off ( disabled ) due to your current Graphics Card not meeting Autodesk's list of recommended Graphics Cards... thus causing the issue / problem you are experiencing.
