spot elevations should have an option to rotate (such as text)..... or there should be an option (click box) in the tag element properties dialogue box to show elevation.

yes...and all tags should be able to rotate ..not just horizontal and vertical....

I have come across this issue in Revit 2008 as well. I wish we could rotate the position of the spot elevation. It is restricted to Horizontal Above or Horizontal Below.
It would helpful to have at least vertical options or full rotation capabilities.

Along with this, the font width, like the dimensions cannot be modified.
