I am trying to use parameters to auto-assign Wall finishes Floor Finish etc. Using the symbol below. Will it be possible?

What do you mean by "auto assign"?

The info that shows up in the properties of a room cannot be associated to the geometry that makes up a room. In fact the parameters that are in a room are text, they don't even have a relationship to the materials list in the project.

If you want to auto populate a room's finish information based on room type, like "elevator lobby" or "bathroom" or "exam room" then you can use a key schedule.

If you want those parameters to appear in tags you must create them as shared parameters. As Robert mentioned, you will still need to fill this information in on your room schedule but you can greatly speed the process up by using Schedule Keys

You could use a Schedule Key to automatically assign finishes based on Type (Office, Classroom, Janitor, etc.).
