How does Revit Decide what to apply silouhette edges too? I know that your can remove the silhouette from the linework tool, but it would be nice to know in advanced what it will apply to.

Justin,
It looks like it finds edges of the building and prefers walls. So for instance your windows won't be any darker (assuming you assign a heavy line weight). If you have embedded walls within other walls or some other wall type inserted in nother wall (like a wall panel of split face CMU within brick veneer), it'll darken the edge of that panel.
What I find very annoying is that if you have sweeps in your walls, these will assume the silouhette line weight, which graphically is wrong.

yeah that is what i was finding. i had a good looking window with this heavy wood trim above it (made from a sweep).
