I have an open ended question and wanted some input on which software would be appropriate. The client wants to design a school based on the lifecycle cost of 25 years. There would need to be modelling of energy usage, being material and site specifice. There would also be a need to estimate upfront costs, maintanence etc. of various buildign materials.

If anyone has any suggestions of what combinations are appropriate please chime in.

Here's one possiblity. Take a look here (http://www.iesve.com/content/default.asp).

I've seen a demo, but haven't tried the software...

BEES is a good free package for basic life cycle cost analysis and has many products already analyzed within it.
