Any suggestions for the following - Closet shelf and pole overlap wall...

Solid Fill? (this always seems like a cheesy solution, so un-Revit like)

Anything else?

if you really wanted to go thru the process you could create a void family with adjustable angle in the closet rod family that could be adjusted to the wall angle. I have done this with counter tops and it works well.

I was just in the process of testing that...

That is definitely more revit-like, but more work. I asked for it I guess...

I also utilize symbolic lines in plan view within the family and it doesn't look like you can lock those to the void...

It would also be nice to be able to drag the void around (by tabbing to it) once the family is loaded into a project rather than the properties dialog box.

I know I'm asking a lot...

Thanks for the quick response.

you can lock the lines to a reference line that controls the void.

Hey there,
For these odd situations, it is sometimes easier to just do an in-place family. Same with the rod. It just takes a minute or two and it can be locked to the wall faces in case things change a bit.

Just my 2 cents
Good luck

These should take care of most situations. The angle settings is not ideal, but I have not had time to set it up correct (ie. measure the wall angle and set the family to that angle.) These families are a little backwards.
