I'm using AutoCAD 2007.

I'm plotting from the paper space layout.

I have a project from a fellow coworker that when I plot the plots are to light so I go though the following:

Plot, turn off the 'plot with plot style', preview the drawing, turn the 'plot with plot style' on, preview , then plot.

What do I need to reset or do to correct this problem.

I didn't have the problem till I got his project.

<SNIP>Hi

Do you have access to the same Plot Style ( CTB or STB ) file your co-worker uses on the project ?

Have a good one, Mike

Try thickening the lineweights in the plot style table. If they're set to default, change them to a specific lineweight that you're happy with. He might have the default lineweight set too thin oin the drawing.

Mike,
I do have access to the ctbs file. The CTB file is the same file we use on other projects without any problem.

Ok! Are you the only person experiencing Plotting issues / problems with those particular project DWG files ?

Have a good one, Mike

Okay, trying to narrow down the possibilities, so:

You're plots are too light, so are his.
You have access to, and are using, the correct ctb file.

Was the original drawing supplied by an outside source who may have used a different ctb file, or did this drawing originate in your office?

I don't know that it matters, but is this plot style layer-dependant or color-dependant?

Try to post the drawing file (or at least a part of it if it's too large or confidential) along with the ctb file associated to it and let us see if we all do experience the same problem. And we'll try to have our own diagnosis of the file.

Its not plotting to light.. what its doing is plotting in color and not black.

I have been having this problem and looking for a solution since the switch from ACAD 2005 to ACAD 2009.

Its very frustrating.. and has somethign to do with the Visual Styles.. thats my best guess anyway.

I have just set the plot style to monochrome...but not sure what effect it will have on the line types and what have you.
