Oh we do so enjoy these don't we? :)

See the attached image for a mass shape that I'm trying to turn into a roof (note that building it out of several pieces makes for ugly joins in several places) - For scale, the two taller parts are approx 18.5m by 9.5m by 9.5m high and the central part is approx 14m long, set back 700mm from the taller parts.

I can create the right roof with 'roof by face' however -
It works ok if the roof thickness is set low (around 100mm)
But not if it gets much thicker (unable to create roof) - I need around 650mm of thickness.
I want the bottom of the roof to be horizontal, not vertical. ie

like this:
\_\
not like this:
\
\|

Anybody got a better idea? Got to have tidy joins everywhere, as there are important junctions all over the place.

Here is your roof using the roof tool. Reverse engineer it to see how it was done.

Yes, that's how I'm doing it so far. But how can I avoid this (see attachment)
(what I want to happen marked in red)
The roof is going to effectively be a monolithic construction, so needs to bend round corners in section as well as plan. This is why I was trying to do it Roof by Face, so that all the pieces joined together nicely - which it does, for a thin roof. But mine is around 2-3 times as thick as that one you did.

Thanks for helping though!
