When we save a 2007 dwg file down to 2004. Then we try to open the file in either 2006, 2004 we get this, "ARX Error: eDuplicateKey". There was one suggestion is to load HPGLImport.arx within Acad2004 but this does not seem to work. We just upgraded to 2007 and if we can't save down to either 2006 or 2004, how can our clients work with our drawings? Looking for suggestions. Thank you.

Hi "Dicastaddict1" ( Sorry, I do not know your real name )

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120) forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

Thanks, Mike

Hi

Have you seen the following threads...

Receive message - ARX Error: eDuplicateKey - when Copying from DWG to DWG

Dialog box when opening "arx error: eduplicatekey"

ARX error eDuplicateKey when Copying and Pasting

Have a good one, Mike

Autodesk has a hot fix for this.

Why save down, they can just as easily download the true convert from Autodesk and convert it themselves, that way you dont have to worry about which clients have which versions.

We have stopped doing conversions for sub's that are not up to date with their software.
