Hi guys!

I'm having trouble pasting an image from word into Revit- anyone know about this, or tried it before?

See I like to cut & paste into word to do a little editing & then paste it back into Revit (well I do that in AutoCAD & now I'm trying it in Revit). I have found topics on importing excl sheets after converting it to a jpg- but I'm just looking for a quick way to flip back & forth to word & Revit...

Thank You!
Shauna

I've never tried nor heard of using microsoft word to import images, when it comes to plain and simple such as your doing, just editing a jpeg I've always found 'paint' to be quite useful.

Oh, I am not editing a jpeg- I'm trying to avoid making it into a jpeg.

I just want to copy lines from Revit and paste them into word, edit them in word, and then copy them from word back into Revit- but I can not get them to go back into Revit.

:screwy: am I the only one who does this?

you have to paste back into an activated text box in Revit. Click Text tool, start text box, then paste text into text box.

But what if it is not text....

I am pasting some lines & shapes as well.

Paste the graphics into a graphics application (perhaps Paint). Save it as an image, bring it in. I don't think you can paste those graphics otherwise.
