Linked area plans

Is is possible to show area plans from a linked project file in a master file? The project that I'm working on at the moment has 3 linked project files which have area plans already set up in them. I'd like to show total site cover of the subdivision on a single sheet without drawing the area boundaries again.

I can schedule the areas, but the colour fill isn't coming up.
