Can I import AutoCAD linetypes to Revit?

Our surveyor sent us an dwg-file which has linetypes such as 'fence', 'overhead electric line' and other. When I import this file to Revit, those lines are changed to a simple line. Any way I can teach Revit to understand these lines, or do I have to redraw them?

What I have done in the past is take the autocad 2d linework and create a new detail component with it. Then I load the detail component into a project and use the repeat detailing feature.

Attached is one that I made in version 8.1 that you are welcome to use or make better. I have not re-visited this since I made it.

The other method you could try is to create a Detail Component Line Based.
