If, in an older version of ACAD, you set the variable MTEXTFIXED to make your mtext editor react consistently, and have migrated your settings to 2007, you may find that your mtext editor is NOT giving you the expected results. Vertical text is appearing in the editor vertically, visually tiny text is appearing tiny in the editor, etc.
Migrating your settings from an earlier version is, however, giving you exactly what you asked for - your previous setting. Unfortunately, this setting doesn't mean the same thing in 2007.
This is because in the previous versions of MTEXTFIXED the options were "0" and "1" - with "1" meaning you are not using in-place editing, but rather, seeing your text always at the same size.
The new setting, to give you that same result is "2".
