"3d", "max", and "to" are not liked by the augi search engine. has anyone played around with importing max files into Revit? Thanks

Here's an example to use MAX objects to create families in Revit.

I've do this quite often--especially with massing since Revit is unable to LOFT. However, be careful with objects that have modifiers applied to them; if they twist or bend, don't expect to be able to apply Revit objects to their faces. Other than that, they play nicely...

Are you using the same method as the tut posted above? Just curious about materials, I'd rather not redo all the materials if I can help it. I guess I say why I am asking, maybe someone has a better idea. I have an old version of Max that I never upgraded because I rarely use it. I'd like to get a Max model I did into dwf, but am not having much luck with the 3d dwf creator I downloaded from Autodesk. I thought if I could open it in Revit (with materials) I could quickly port it out to a dwf. Thanks for the help folks.
