Can a wall cut floor yet?
e.g. if you have a raft or waffle slab on ground and you want to create a two brick course rebate in the edge of the slab by getting a composite wall to have outer leaf and cavity set to a two course base offset and get it to cut slab.
Can a wall be set to cut floor by making it structural-if so how?
You can use slab edge sweeps to add a footing with a cut out or a void sweep or void extrusion family etc.
There is no Host Sweep slab edge reveal as far as I can see.

I haven't tried looking into making the wall structural but if anything would work that sounds like it might. Beyond that... I'm clueless (though it is something I would like to be able to do).

No - however a properly designed slab edge can do just what you want.

Just as a comment, I find that a restricted behavior like this one cuts into my design intent a lot, and it is not the only place where Revit assumes things for me. I think this behavior is not helping anyone, so why not just give it up - let the user decide every time who cuts who - is there anyone listening up there..?
