is it possible to set a certain profile for a drawing.
example: i have 2 dwg's open
1 PID
1 mechanical drawing
If I switch between the dwg i always have to switch the profiles (different menus, palettes etc...)

from what i know of, you can define the profile under the button fromwhere you start autocad.
For example - create two autocad shortcuts on your desktop. click on one RMB -> properties and enter in the field target: "C:\AutoCAD 2005\acad.exe" /p PID
where the PID stands for the PID.arg
If needed set "Taskbar" to 1

That will require two instances of acad running, not two files open in one acad session.

You can do that or simply save a profile per project. i've been toying with this idea very basically. Create a profile, save it and name it a project. New project, new profile and save it under project name. only problem is you'd have hundreds of profiles by the end of the year.
