north arrow with rotation parameter

the attached north arrow is an attempt to make a north arrow with an instance parameter for rotation. it works ok so far except if i set the rotation to zero and then re-set the rotation to anything else. then it moves the origin point. any ideas?

This is due to the fact Revit adds automatically constrains while your sketching the geometry of your North Arrow. This can, under certain conditions, make your Rfa behave not as expected.

One way to avoid this ... see attachment.

so.... the reference plane drawn at an angle is the key. i was very close....
