Get custom hatch patterns to show on Custom tab in Hatch dialog box

Ok, I have used hatch before, but never had to upload custom styles before. I need help in how to get the hatch Window to have the custom hatch files (.pat) that I have downloaded to show up under the custom window. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

One method...

* Place all custom hatch pattern files in a custom hatch pattern directory / folder eg

C:\AutoCADCustom\Hatch

If you have a network, it would be best to place such AutoCAD custom support stuff there ( in my humble opinion ). Allows everyone to access one central point; allows for easier maintenance; etc

* Add the custom hatch pattern directory / folder to your AutoCAD Search Path -> Options -> Files tab -> Support File Search Path

* Your custom hatch pattern files will now be accessible / listed on the Custom tab within the Hatch and Gradient dialog box.
