I am running into this issue often, and not generalized to cul-de-sacs. My corridors at the end of their run seem to be linking to a zero (0) or negative elevation. I have lost some hair over all of this, and come seeking help. If the image doesn't help let me know what else I need to upload to try and fix.

Just a guess .... the design profile(s) for the edge of the cul-de-sac don't quite reach the end of the alignment(s) and the assembly falls to zero.

I agree. The proposed profile you have set as a target is out of the station range for the corridor. Even if the station control for your corridor is dead on, it will do this from time to time. Leave a 0.1 gap in your corridor parameters so that your corridor is slightly smaller than your proposed profile. It will fix it almost garunteed.
Later, if you add another baseline or region, the corridor surface will jump that gap and model correctly. So dont worry about the gap in your corridor. It will all be ok. :)
