Any one taken a look at this?

Some of the families look awfully familiar...

Anyone signed up yet?

Did you actually see a family? :D Nearly everything was empty when I looked.

There are a handful up there, but they are all familiar from the Revit CD, RUGI and maybe even things that guys have posted here or over on alt.cad.revit

I'm not going to follow another group (famous last words)...waiting to see how ARUGI shakes out....

There are placeholders on the front page for future advertising banners. That's enough to keep me away.

'ARUGI' sounds like a noise that Scooby-Doo would make...

That's pretty cool. ;)

So, rather than saying 'Aw-gee' I can say 'AH-Roo-gee'!

Or it sounds like the horn from a Model-T Ford!

You could also pasta-size it in ARUGATONI

Or for the geeky ones it sounds a little like the alarm noise in Red Dwarf - or anything Craig Charles is involved in for that matter.

Are they still making Red Dwarf? I haven't seen a "new" episode here in awhile. Our local Public TV isn't carrying it anymore. Must be an indication of my intelligence but I really enjoyed that show...

From what I saw on the site, it looks like they are just getting started. They look a little better organized that RUGI, but at this point not as many families. The search tool seems useful in the future when they get more famlies.

I think I'm going to use both sites at this point and take a wait and see attitude. If AUGI get's takes RUGI's families and make it more user friendly, then that's where I'll go to find famlies.

Just a side note: I use Yahoo all the time, so the ad thing doesn't really turn me off...most well run member free sites fund their work with ad space.

Just out of curiosity, if Revit were free, but had ad space built into the program, would it grow or shrink in popularity?
