View Full Version : Doors and Windows on a sheet with Schedules

What are people doing (if anything) to put door and window elevations on a sheet? The idea here is to document window and door Types in elevation, including dimensions, detail bubbles at head, sill and jamb conditions, special trim and glazing notes, etc. I had hoped Legends would work, but so far I can find no way to get anything but a plan view. The team is dangerously close to doing a bunch of drafting views, which I would like to avoid if at all possible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Gordon

DG Cad did a Video Tut on this which was very useful
Basically you select the view you want to see in the legend / sheet

I took the method mentioned by Aaron Rumple in this thread: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=45337 and set up a separate phase for my wall, door, and window elevation legends. I draw a swatch of each wall as well as each door and window type in that phase. This way I was able to tag and dimension the elements.

Roger,
is that one of his AUGI classes, or one off the DGCad website?
Thanks,

Gordon,
You can display the legend componant as elevation or plan. The pick is to the right of the legend style in the option bar

Duh! I was looking for it as a Legend setting. Never thought to pick the actual items in the legend! Thanks!

This method http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=49642&highlight=drafting+view+legend was suggested and I thought it was pretty creative even though I havent' tried it yet.
