Grading with Shortcuts

I've got a file with some grading objects that I'm trying to save to a project (so I can use shortcuts). Every time I try to save the drawing, it locks up my software. I don't know whether it is related to network challenges (saving on a local server) or if it is C3D related. The task manager shows C3D as "Not Responding" and the computer usage is 100%.

I'm using C3D 2006....

If anyone has any experiences with this problem, I'd be happy to find a solution.
