Ceiling Tags w/o spaces

For reason I won't get into, I'm creating ceiling grids with polylines as their boundaries rather than space objects.
The Ceiling Grid has an Elevation as a basic property. It appears that a property data set can not read that elevation. Is that correct?
I'm trying to create a ceiling grid tag to read the elevation of ceiling grid objects.

It would appear that you cannot grab that with an automatic property set.
