I am trying to export all of my sheets for a small project into AutoCAD 2000 DWGs. I have done it several times and each time, all of the DWGs are of the active view. I have made sure that I did not have "Current View Only" checked when I exported, but ech of the DWGs is the same. What am I doing wrong?

Have you selected "Selected views & sheets" button, & then gone to that dialog & checkmarked the sheets / views that you want? (Similar to the print dialog)

I remember having this problem in version 4, but haven't had any problems recently.
At that time, because of the concatenated file name, the max number of characters in the path name caused each successive drawing file to be overwritten with the same name.

That's my only clue.

Greg,

Are you saying that each subsequent .dwg file is the same as the first one you exported? If so, change the file names by either shortening them or putting the drawing number at the beginning. What is happening is that too many of the beginning characters of each file is the same so Windows can't distinguish between them. Revit should change the way it names its exported files so this doesn't happen. I think this is on the wishlist.

It was the long filename thing. Thanks guys. I forgot about that issue.
