i have moved the entire model because of the project north and true north issue (long story) and after i did that, all the level symbols disappeared while i still seem to 'have' levels in the model (when i tried to re-create the level 1,2 ... it doesn't allow me to do because they are already in the model)
how do i retrieve those symbols?

Something tells me in the back of my head, it has something to do with the elevation symbols needing to be perpendicular to the surface, or maybe the scope box doesn't include where the symbols are in elevation. Did you mean you rotated the model?

indeed, i have moved AND rotated the model.
what do i need to do?.
seems you have had an experience.

Oh no! Revert back to a previous version....you don't rotate the model to change the true north. If Project North was incorrect, perhaps I'd rotate, but I might choose to rotate the views on the sheets instead.
Do a search on these forums about rotating True North...there are tons of great explanations.

well in fact, the 'project north' was set wrong and that's why i had to rotate the model not the true north.
so in any event, you would say to go back to previous model?
we have 4 buildings on a campus and all of them have some degree of angle in relation to the true north. this particular model happen to have project north coincide with the true north but initially started on a project parameter of other building. so on true north view it seems all fine but it has the project north property that is completely irrelavent to the model
i didn't have any better idea on how to reconcile the true and project north difference. so i rotated the building on project north mode to match the true north angle. i realize this wasn't the best way to do it. any suggestion?

Well, you can rotate the building. I thought you're rotating because of True North and that's not the way to do it. I'm not sure why you lost the level symbols. Could you post your file?

Rotate and move projects, egad! As others have said, best practices are to utilize the "Relocate Project" and View Properties > Orientation parameter to align a particlular view to True North.
As for the elevation marks, my best guess is that your view has a crop region turned on. Hide crop regions and the elevation marks should become visible again.
