License borrowing and Layer manager

A very strange thing happening with one of our laptops which has ABS 2006 on it. whenever it runs on a borrowed license, you cannot access layer manager on the laptop. if it is on our network, everything goes back to normal. any clues?

My guess is your problem is in the program and not necessarily a function of the borrowed license.

The first thing I would do is check to make sure FILEDIA and CMDDIA are set to 1.

What shows up on your command line when you try to go to layer manager?
