Volume of Cut & Fill

Is there a way to report the volume of Cut/Fill in topography when a pad is added? Volume is reported only when graded region is applied. However we use pads most often to level the site. Please let me if there is a way to get this accomplished.

You need to follow the steps exactly to get cut and fill to work correctly.

1. Create existing topo in an existing view.
2. In a new phase view create a graded region based on the original. It will demo the existing and create a copy that is new
3. Put the pad in the new topo
4. look at the cut and fill difference in the properties of the new topo, not the existing.

Big mistake people make is trying to import the survey into a new view. Remember the topo must be existing as it currently is there now.
