Chain link Fence Elevation

I have a drafting view of a chain link fence. I'd like to lock the CL Pattern, so when I change the scale...My CL doesn't adjust to the scale....Is there anyway I can lock it..or say a walkaround?

You'll need to make the Pattern a Model Pattern instead of a Drafting Pattern... but I don't think you can use Model Patterns in Drafting Views...
