When I use the ceiling tool to create a ceiling, is it possible for it the outline or perimeter to show on the floor plan as a dashed or "overhead" line to represent the ceiling above? Typically I just draw an "overhead" line on the plan via the drafting tools. Just hoping there might be a faster and more automatic way to represent change in ceiling heights in plan.
thanks for any input

I usually use the "Linework" tool to show the overhead lines.

That'd be the way to go.....
go to view properties (VP),
turn on your ceiling plan as an underlay, then
use the Linework tool to "trace" your ceiling (using "overhead" or whatever
linetype you like...)
then back to VP and turn off your underlay, but the "overhead" lines
remain AND are locked to your ceiling so will change if you change your ceiling at a later date.
