Roof Join problem

I can't seem to get these two to join together (the round roof and gable roof). Is it not possible?

I would leave it except the problem I'm running into is when I try to attach my fascia it won't mitre correctly. I tried creating a mass with no luck.

I attached what I thought would work. Just a simple family file with 2 masses

Try this method: draw the roof as one sketch. The only drawback is that you will need a small straight segment on both sides of the arc that is slope defining. See the attached images. Hope that helps!
