sloped curved roof

hi,

while creating a sloped curved roof, why does the outer edges of the roof lift up too?

any way to rectify it?

How are you making it? From a mass or by extrusion?

If it's done an extrusion you can edit the cut plan profile.
If it's in-place, use a void

From looking at the PDF, it looks like the two geometries simply do not meet where you have the curved intersection/ridge drawn. It looks like you created the roof out of two separate parts. I would suggest trying to make the entire roof out of one part and letting Revit make the intersection/ridge.

In the past if I have had complex roof intersections or had a tough time making a rough out of one piece, I have simply drawn the roofs bigger (causing 'overlaps'), joined them, and then modified them using each other's cut geometries.

it was done as a floor with slope arrow...roof dosent work.
it works well with massing-sweep.
cant it work with a floor or roof?

Why didnt it work as a roof ? You can aply the same method (slope arrow)

I was wondering the same thing. Personally, I would never use a floor tool to create a roof due to potential scheduling issues down the road. Revit's roof tool should allow you to build almost any roof you want. I have not yet run into a situation where I could not complete a roof, even though some were quite a bit of a struggle.
