I am working through the tutorial titled Getting Started and trying to do a simple move of my object. The walls seem to stretch though moving the entire object is not working for me. I keep getting an error message stating the items are reversed. Appreciate any help I know this sooooooooo basic. Thanks.

not sure your exact situation but when you move a wall (say 10' up the screen) if other walls are attached to it, then will stretch along with it. so what might be happening is that you are moving a wall past an intersecting wall and causing the intersecting wall to "flip" (the start point move above the end point).
Try not moving it past an intersecting wall and you should get the desired result.

I selected seven walls and then the move icon on the toolbar and a dashed box appears around only one of the walls. I know kindergarten.

Try checking "Disjoin" in the option bar after invoking the Move command but before picking the start point. This will disconnect the walls from all neighbors before it moves them.
