In going through the tutorial, it asks to center a window(s) in a room and also in
the end wall of the building. The problem I have is that there is nothing to indicate when you are at the center. The temp dimensions seem to choose arbtrary elements to reference. Even the midpoint snap triangle does not show up.

I acturally drew a line to check the center.

In placing a window in elevation it would be nice to get an alignment with the window on the floor below. Again, in elevation the temp dimenstion might reference a hidden interior wall. So, how do you know you are in the exact center of the wall?:?

You can modify where the temp dimensions measure to. There is a little blue box half way down the witness line, Drag that to wherever you want the dimension to measure from (hit tab for more options if necessary). I've found that sometimes temporarily drawing a line is quick and easy, no need to get fancier than necessary...

For aligning with a window on the floor below, just use the align tool in elevation, should work just fine, and you could even lock them together if you choose.

if the temporary lines don't work, I just place it and draw dimensions and click on the EQ button to make the 2 distances equal...an extra step but it doesn't slow me down much
