View Full Version : Using Hyperlinks to link to Layouts

Here's a novel idea:

I'm currently modifying a master plant schematic for a customer that includes next to 35 separate circuits for cleaning. What this means is that I'll end up with almost 40 layout tabs to individualize each circuit (right now the customer has all 35 circuits on layers and laying on top of each other - agh!).

So here's my idea - how about a table of contents that uses hyperlinks to switch between layout tabs. This can be placed next to the title block, off the plot. I figure the hyperlinks command already does this, which should work fine. I just get sick of scrolling the layout tab bar when looking for a particular tab. Anyone have any other *neat* ideas for navigating large files?

Thanks!

Have you looked at the Sheet Set Manager - I wonder if this would help you...

Yes - thank you for that suggestion. Trying to see if there are any other *trick* ways out there, such as scroll bars or buttons - something new. I can't use Sheet Sets here due to the fact that the customer isn't on a supporting version of ACAD.

Thanks!!

If all you want to be able to do is navigate layouts, I wrote a vba dialog for someone that used long layout names and had trouble scrolling. The dialog stacks the names vertically. You should be able to see all layouts in a single list.

Any chance you can share that little macro?

Thanks!
