I have a roof with lots of gable ends, and i want the soffits to follow up the gables. i was thinking that you could mod the soffits to slope like you would the roof (split the line, add slope lines and boom), but it seems that i can't add more then 1 slope arrow to a soffit.
anyone else see this?

I think you're correct about the one-slope-at-a-time limitation.

same here. Things I have done to combat this is
1. Make a roof/slab/anything for the soffit
2. Make multiple soffits and join them
3. But my favorite I've settled with is roof fascia profile and incorporate the soffit in with the fascia. You can also do rake boards this way. It's not fancy, but it works for me quite well.

thanks for the replies. i was thining that i would add the soffit to the roof structure (since the roof is already made and it would slope with the roof.

Have you considered doing the soffits with a facia sweep?
EDIT: A bit late with the suggestion. a side note - the soffit can be an independant sweep from the facia.
