View Full Version : Getting custom 4" pipe into schedule

Good morning all,
I am unable to get 4 inch pipe to read into a schedule. We are using
modified files. We are having no problems with 1-1/2", 2" or 3". When I
select the schedule and add all property sets the description fills in but
the part number must be manually added. Is there any ideas?
Thanks,
David

My only suggestion is the obvious one. Look at the pipes that are working and see if there is a difference between them and the 4".
If they are correct maybe check your schedule for errors.
If you want to post an example drawing I would be happy to take a look.

Here you be Scott. Note that after I select the schedule right-click and select Add All Property sets to the schedule the Part Number for 4" pipe will not fill in.

Curious, was an answer ever found for this? I'm currently working on generating this same scheduling situation. If not, I'll post what I find out....

Hi David,
Try clicking on the 4" pipe and right click it and select Pipe Properties. On the General tab click on the Property Set button and add the Part Number there.
NOTE: The Part Number is a manual property set and will not fill in automatically.
Hope this helps.

David,
if you select the pipe and then click on the extended data tab of the properties pallet, you will see that there is no part number listed for this size as apposed to the other sizes. The pipe schedule is being read into the schedule - you just don't have any information for it to fill in the blank.
And as Scott explained, it is a manual property - from the extended data property listing you will notice no lightning bolt next to PART_NUMBER, GAUGE or MATERIAL - all things you will need to fill each time if the default is blank.
