ELEV CROPPED LIKE SECTION

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY MY ELEVATION IS ACTING LIKE A SECTION. CLOUMNS AND PORCH DOES NOT SHOW IN SOUTH ELEVATION BUT APPEARS ON 3D AND FLOOR PLAN

I MADE NEW ELEVATIONS AND THEY SHOW ALL. COMPARED PROPERTIES BUT THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A DIFFERENCE. WOULD STILL LIKE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. THANKS

THAT WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT, BUT I CHECKED THAT IN PROPERTIES AND ITS NOT THE PROBLEM. ITS THE FOREGROUND THAT IS NOT SHOWING.

I am not at my work computer now, but if I remember...if you right click on the triangle portion of the elevation symbol in the plan view you will see a green line. Make sure that the green line is in front of what you want to see.

Actually it is a blue line! But HenryD is right, look to see where your blue elevation line is "looking" from, it is not the same place that the triangle elevation symbol is at. The green dashed line shows up if the far clip plane is active.

Yep! This has happened to me a few times as well...you have to be careful when grabbing elevation markers and moving them. Sometimes you don't select that tricky blue line. Make sure when you select the elevation marker in plan that you select both the triangle and the square parts. If you only grab the square part it will move the entire elevation marker, but if you right click on the triangle you'll see that the blue line (the plane where the elevation is cut) has not moved from its original position.

I have made a project template from the last project and my 'blue line' for my elevations are not showing up. I have the far clip on, nothing is associated to a scope box, but when I select the triangle, I see the scope and the far clip and am able to adjust that, but no blue line, so I can't control where the cut is starting from. I moved all my elevations to a new location because I imported a cad site file and used it's coordinates. but nothing was left behind. when i select the triangle, there is no blue line anywhere in the project that i can see. I have turned off the crop to be sure and still nothing. any idea why I cannot see this line or get it back?

To update, I found the blue line by going to a diff. floor plan. I'm not sure what the difference is between these two floor plans. Same level reference, but one I can see the cut line and one I cannot. any ideas
