We would like to create door tags which have two labels (both instance based):
- An abbreviated code for the level name - eg "L1" for "Level 1"
- Mark
Any suggestions about automating this process? Revit knows the information so it should be possible. I have tried calculated fields but they don't seem to like working with text.
The only way I can think of so far is to create a shared parameter called "Level code" and then use a schedule to globally select all doors on a particular level to fill in that code field (or some other quick mass selection method). But this is not an automatic process, and it is prone to error.
I don't want to rename all my levels either!
