Linked dwg obscuring walls in Wireframe

Everything was fine, but we needed to update the dwg background as we converted the project from autoCAD. When we removed the dwg and replaced it with the updated site plan from civil, the lines from the dwg obscured the view of the walls in wireframe. I was wondering if there is a simple way to change the display order so that the dwg always shows behind the model walls and components.

In wireframe? it will always see through any wall except for the solid filled region ones.

if you import the dwg in current view only, then you can set to be above or behind, but in wireframe it will always see through
