I'm trying to show an elevation of my model with hidden lines shown as dashed.in a viewport and I can't get the visual styles manager configured right.
It seems the only way to show obscure edges is to have the edge mode set to FACETED. My model has pipes and so the elevation has numerous lines and the hidden lines don't show up.
Thoughts on how to show the obscure lines and have the faces not faceted?

Hi
Have you looked at things like...
VSObscuredEdges
VSObscuredColor
VSObscuredLtype
Have a good one, Mike

I've tried those, I've played with the different default visual styles and toggling those values on but still to no avail.
The process as I understand that it should be is to...
in Layout, open viewport,
Set visual style to default "3D Hidden"
Set VSObscuredEdges to 1
Set VSOBSCUREDLTYPE to 4 (short dashed)
and my obscured lines should be shown as hidden but they are solid.
my ltscale is set to 1
Any other thoughts?

Hi
Within the AutoCAD Online Help File [F1], on the Search tab, search for Control the Display of Edges.
Also search for Obscured Edges.
Have a good one, Mike
