Can anyone please explain their method for dealing with the lack of control of grids and levels in a linked file. We are just starting to link files and I am coming across this issue. Grid bubbles and level names are beginning to overlap at smaller scales. I cannot seem to control them. Am I missing a checkbox or toggle somewhere?
Thanks in advance!

Brad, what I've done in our first RB and RS project was to create views to set the linked file visibility with. In your case you probably have it set By Host View...you can't really use that with grids. The other solution would be to copy/monitor the datums and grids...now you can adjust them in your view.
The other way is to set your link visibility to By Linked View. So create a view in the original file and make your grids display the way you want them. Now set your visibility of the link to By Linked View and select this "special view" or any other view in the original file that works for you. Note that this is only possible in plan views (and celing views) so you're out of luck for sections and elevations. Maybe in another version.

That is pretty much what I figured. I'm going to try the Copy/Monitor approach. I think that will work for now. Thanks for your help!
