Hi,

Our IT department has recently decided to switch our system and now we can not print to our HP5000ps plotter. We have no options for the architectural paper sizes .My guess is that we need to load the pc3 driver. Does any one know where I can get this to down load, or if there is another problem? We are currently using 2007.

Your HP5000ps needs to be installed on your computer through windows first, take a look at your 'printers and faxes' in control panel, if it is not there then use the add printer wizard to add it.

Then open Acad and on a layout tab go to page setup and modify, select the HP5000ps printer icon and then click properties. On the 'Device and Document Settings' tab you can change paper sizes, filters etc to suit your requirements. Once you have set up all your options click 'save as' to save as a new .pc3 file.

You can either do this on each computer and have a separate pc3 file saved locally, or you can have one pc3 file saved on a network, to do this you will need to set the plotter support path location for each computer.

If you go for locally saved files ensure they all have the same name, that way page setups will be correct when a drawing is opened on any PC.

Hope the above makes sense, but if not give me a shout.

Cheers
