I came across something today which I would appreciate someone testing this out to see if it can be reproduced.

First, you have to have a dual screen and you need to place the project browser on the second screen. Now go to a wall style, click properties, click edit and set the preview to section and then click the Modify button. Nothing happens and the tool doesn't function; moving your cursor over the wlal preview should highlight wall edges. The same happens with the Split Region tool. The only way to use these commands is by selecting a wall from a view and going through it's properties or by moving your project browser back to the screen where Revit is and going through the project browser once again.

Thanks for helping troubleshoot this potential bug.

David,
Hope this helps. Ummm NOT. I tried to mimic what you're experiencing, but mine seems to be working just fine. I've got (2) 19" BenQ monitors set up for Dualview (configured independantly / not spanning or cloned) - controlled from nVidia's config.

I've un-docked the Project Browser (heh - forgot it could do that!) and placed it on the right side monitor w/ main view on left monitor.

I did what you outlined with the wall and it performed perfectly [SEE IMAGE].

NOTE: I also do NOT have OpenGL or Overlay planes on - could this be a culprit?

David,
worked fine for me as well. Dell M65 laptop, Dell LCD as main screen, laptop as secondary screen. I was even able to move the Edit dialog back and forth no problem. In my case BOTH openGL and OverlayPlanes are on.
I wonder if a graphics driver update might not be in order?

Best,
Gordon

Hmmmm my setup is similar to Gordon's....Dell Latitude D820 with the laptop LCD as my secondary screen (docked on Port Replicator) and a 19" Samsung as the main screen. It doesn't make a difference if overlay planes or OpenGL are turned on or off (had to turn off OpenGL lately as I couldn't work with all the errors). I have an Nvidia Quadro NVS 120M, driver from Dell's website (5/1/2006). I couldn't find any other new drivers from Dell and nothing from Nvidia's website works (says you don't have the hardware supported by this driver; not sure I'm selecting the right one or whether I have to use Dell's).

Kyle, nice desktop ;) Thanks for helping out guys!
