Vertical Alignment Editor - Slowwwwwww

I'm using LDD2005 on a 3GHz-Pentium with 1 Gig memory. I am wondering if there's a problem with the Vertical Alignment Editor, when saving my work the process seems to take longer then it should. Saving a DTM, pipe runs or any other data through a dialog seems to process in a fraction of the time. I am looking for any suggestion or to know if Autodesk is aware of the lag with this process.

Are you saving your data to a network location?
Try to bring that project local, and run the editor, and see if
it impacts the save time.
Do you have the latest patch for Land Desktop, and
Civil Design installed?
Are there other (older) versions installed on that machine?
If so there are batch files that one must run between sessions
to restore functionality to various tools.
