I am having a brain cramp... I can't figure out how to do an Electrical Fixture Schedule. I have a wall schedule, door schedules all of these work great...

Here is what I have done

I am using a standard 2x4 Troffer with mfr & fixture info added, and I am using the standard Lighting Fixture Tag (Type Mark).

I placed the fistures in the ceiling grid. Tagged all of the fixtures with standard lighting fixture tag

I have created an Electrical Schedule - Schedule Building Components - Phase -New Construction with all of the parameters selected. Nothing schedules. I am missing something.

What am I missing?

You did everything correct... except:

The factory lighting Fixtures in the Imperial Library are not "Electrical Fixtures," they are "Lighting Fixtures" under the Family Catagory and Parameters dialogue.

(This assumes you are using the Imperial Lib. light fixtures, although i suspect that is your problem even if its an in house made family...)

Do one of two things:

Make a schedule that is for Lighting Fixtures instead, and they schedule correctly. If that is unacceptable as you are scheduling other items, open up your light fixture family, go to Settings > Family Catagory and parameters, and switch the catagory to Electrical Fixtures, and reload them to the project.

Hope this helps. :)

Just beware that when you change the light fitting to electrical it will no longer work for renderings.

OK - So I try to make a lighting legend and the troffer will only show up as a rectangle. How come I can't see it with the rest of the linework like it does in the RCP?

hmm having problems with legends today I see.

Yeah it looks like when you put the troffer fixture in the legend, the linework in question is there and it shows when you roll the mouse over it, but it doesn't show otherwise. That is pretty frustrating.

Are you following all my post today????

Yea, I have been working with a customer on a new template and should be doing their install later this week.
I just wanted to polish up the legends a little bit and the troffer is frustrating me not being able to see it as it shows in RCP.

We ran into this a few days ago too!,

This fixture has a sort of plate at the ceiling side of the fixture and when I changed it's visibility to not appear in plan view the fixture seemed to look good in both legend and ceiling plan view.
