I need a bit more information. Are you accomplishing anything through AutoLISP which modifies your menus?

not at the moment.... this menu is supposed to work with the full version of autocad as well as LT (which doesn't run lisps).

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the Autolisp (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=91) Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

How are you "switching" menus? Are you using MENU rather than MENULOAD?

I actually set up 2 different Profiles (under Options) one looks at one menu file and the other one looks at the other menu file.

OK, then, how did you set up each profile?

Profile one points to menu\elec.mnu for the menu and dwg\ for all symbols
Profile two point to menu\elec-n.mnu for the menu and ncsdwg\ for all symbols.

Hi Serene,

Probably you will have to create the profile with the required toolbars open. If you create a profile and open the toolbars, then you go back to another profile and come back to the previous one, the toolbars you had kept opened in that session of AutoCAD may not be visible. I mean, open AutoCAD, load your required menu, open the required toolbars and then create a new profile. Have a try, I'm not sure unless you give more details.

I don’t have enough recent experience of CUI to give you an answer. However a quick forum search returns a few useful discussions. Perhaps you might have a read of this thread from November 2004 (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=10857), which discusses the following Hotnews article : Organize & Standardize Your Customization (http://www.augi.com/publications/hotnews.asp?page=663). Hope it is of help to you.

Bye,
