How do I get my hatch to lay in a direction I want it too. Example: I have a building with a roof partial round cone shape and the other partial is hipped roof. Roof is concrete tile. When hatched, the hatch lays fine on the hipped roof but the conical roof it does not look right. Is there another way of making my elevations or 3D look more realistic? Also when hatching I click on one portion of the roof and it hatches the entire roof. Help! Thank you..............I'm using Revit 9.1.

Without actually "seeing" what you are getting it's hard to say.... BUT you can generally highlight the pattern (or a line in the pattern) and use the rotate command or even the "align" command.

I'm not sure you can place a hatch on a conical surface.

Fill patterns cannot resolve themselves on double curved surfaces or conical surfaces. The only curved faces that fill patterns work on (to some extent) are cylindrical.
